Co-extrusion Curtainwall Info < 1 of 6 >

The tower floors of this 35-story high rise are sheathed with a taut glass skin that stretches from floor to ceiling connected by a pvc/alcryn co-extrusion in lieu of metal framing. The elimination of exterior metal framing decreases the wall’s U-value and improves thermal performance. The skin’s rounded corners mitigate wind loads and white fritting provide sun shading, giving the building a clean, technical appearance from the outside that contrasts with the more earthbound stone mass of the building at grade. Office ceiling heights are ten feet high to optimize daylighting.
