This project for a counter-culture brokerage firm transforms an old cold storage building into a dynamic workplace for the twenty-first century with trading stations, meeting spaces and lounge and dining facilities. A soft and luminous stretched-fabric ceiling floats in counterpose against the board-formed concrete structure of the existing industrial loft, speaking to a changing economy. Writable back-painted glass wall panels and perforated felt surfaces shape and reflect a collaborative and relaxed culture which seeks to change the traditional image of the brokerage business.
